CTDOT is Announcing Temporary Rolling Roadblocks to Prevent Driver Distractions Related to the Demolition of the Former Coal Plant in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing rolling roadblocks due to the planned demolition of the former coal plant in Bridgeport will take place on Route 8 southbound at Exit 1C – 1A, I-95 northbound at Exits 27 – 28 and I-95 southbound at Exits 29 – 27 on Sunday, September 28, 2025

The rolling roadblocks are being performed by Bridgeport Station Development LLC.

Motorists can expect rolling roadblocks on Route 8 southbound at Exit 1C – 1A, I-95 northbound at Exits 27 – 28 and I-95 southbound at Exits 29 – 27 on the morning of September 28, 2025. from 4:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m., Sunday morning.
