BRIDGEPORT- The Connecticut Metropolitan Council of Governments (MetroCOG) a multi-discipline, regional planning organization made up of six member communities — Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull is pleased to announce the launch of our new website www.ctmetro.org. In partnership with Peralta Design, this collaborative effort resulted in a visually pleasing website with improved functionality on all platforms. The vision of ctmetro.org is to make our data, publications, documentation and information fully accessible to constituents and partners, including recent news, events, reports, and archives.
MetroCOG strives to strengthen the region through inclusive partnerships with member municipalities, the region’s residents, and state and federal agencies. The updated website allows the agency to improve stakeholder engagement and enhance opportunities for public input. The new user-friendly layout is significantly easier to navigate and visitors will quickly find the information they are looking for.
Highlights of ctmetro.org include convenient access to current and archived documents, vibrant images of the region, and a user-friendly layout. A new landing page for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Shared Services supports access to MetroCOG’s comprehensive spatial datasets. Further, plans and projects related to Transportation, Conservation, Economic Development, Emergency Management and Land Use are all readily accessible.
The website update and development process was supported with funds through the State of Connecticut and the U.S. Department of Transportation. In addition to our local, state and federal partners, MetroCOG thanks everyone for their patience throughout the website development process and look forward to feedback on the new www.ctmetro.org.
